Introduction
Enterlogic of Sweden proudly presents Mr. Andersson’s Alicia1200.
Cultivated for over a decade. Alicia’s simplistic perfection is a homage to the legacy of her predecessors. A true successor in the revolutionary Advanced Graphics Architecture lineage. Now for the first time in Mini-ITX form factor with real vintage silicon.
The Home Computer Architectures of the early 90’s are often both innovative, spiritual and full of bugs! But more importantly it is a legacy worthy of honor and respect . Something we recognize sincerely.
MrA’s third contribution to this legacy is the Alicia 1200 AGA Mini-ITX motherboard.

Because Hardware Matters!

"Perfection is achieved not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing left to take away."
-Antoine de Saint-Exupéry
If you’re anything like us, you love hardware. And while we enjoy the ARM-based Single-board computer emulator with powerful FPGA’s from time to time – we often feel that something is missing. It’s a feeling, a smell, there’s just not enough hardware to tinker with!
Perfect segway to invite you to our in-official Discord channel #enterlogic on the Retro Tinkering Discord Server (formerly known as #denise-pcb)
Our love for Tinkering with hardware is one of the main reasons we do what we do. The challenge and charm of working within a set of rules defined over 40 years ago is both inspiring and challenging. Perhaps in a similar way to coders still enjoying assembler for 8/16-bit CPUs.
Designing complex systems is easy. Making a simple design of something complex, is hard. That’s why countless hours has been spent pouring over schematics and design documents, measuring and analyzing, redefining, counting and optimizing, testing and more testing, until one day quite recently …

Alicia1200 rests upon the Advanced Graphics Architecture introduced in 1992. With it’s revolutionary capabilities and performance it has been a haven for creative and artistic individuals to this day.
With direct access to the most important stuff on the back of the board. Including DIN Keyboard & Mouse, standard DB9 Joysticks and DB15 RGB Video as well as R&L Audio ports. Keeping other essentials like 9-pin serial, parallel and floppy drive on internal headers.

A standard 44-pin IDE and 22-pin Clock Port is also available. A dedicated Digital/Analogue Video expansion Port (VP2) provides for flexible future video upgrades. Tornado V2 offers an 120-pin expansion bus for slim yet very powerful AGA systems.
Bring Your Own Chips
Just like our previous projects Alicia is a semi DIY-system. Meaning YOU the customer get to put the icing on the cake.
What we provide is a Printed Circuit Board, or PCB, with most passive components pre-soldered (~450 pcs) on the board.
ATTENTION!!!
This will be a learning experience! You actually have to READ some documentation during this process. You might even make new acquaintances some of which become new friends.
ATTENTION!!!
WARNING!!!
This project will potentially steal time away from Facebook and YouTube, doom scrolling, obsessive TikTok usage and/or other so called "social" activities.
You also have the opportunity to level up your soldering skills. Just go easy, pin by pin and you'll be fine. If soldering just isn't your game - recruit a friend to help you out.
WARNING!!!

Not for everyone?

Alicia1200 is not for everyone. We know that. But if you’re reading this, chances are you’re brave enough to join this rewarding adventure of ours …
Building your own computer is much more than assembling a few parts. It’s a milestone in life. One of those things you’ll be telling your grand kids about (probably in a not too distant future). After finishing this project you will not only understand a lot more about the architecture that makes this historical system tick – but also be ready to start your next build. Together with a vibrant community of friends and like-minded folks. Providing knowledge, support and the occasional pun.
Got PCMCIA?
Yes sir! Back by popular demand, the 16-bit PCMCIA port is ready for your adapters and expansions. Storage, LAN, WIFI and even graphics – PCMCIA got it all. And now you can have it on your favorite Mini-ITX home computer too!
TORNADO TIME!
Tornado is an innovative 120-pin expansion bus containing all important signals needed to expand the system with everything from Powerful Processors with RAM and IDE, RTG Graphics adapters or Network cards, basically anything your heart desires!
We’re already preparing for existing designs to be adopted to T2 for a fully optimized Mini-ITX AGA System! For cases when T2 version isn’t possible we also offer a slim high quality adapter offering card edge support.
Please note that this adapter should be viewed as a bonus option and generally not recommended. Most available cards should work, however since we can’t test and verify everything – no guarantee is given that a particular card will work. Please share your experience with us on Discord!

Details about the Tornado V2 120-pin Expansion Slot
Tornado V2 is a JAE TX24/TX25 Series connector with a 1.27mm pitch and are built for reliable, stable connections. Their long electrical engagement length ensures consistent performance, even under stress. Instead of traditional pin-type contacts, these connectors handle twisting forces during connection and disconnection with ease. You’ll also notice the reassuring “click” that confirms a secure fit every time. With a sturdy housing and built-in polarizing keys, they’re a great choice for rack and panel connector applications. It is very similar to the KEG Processor connectors on big box systems’s like the A3000 and A4000.
Welcome to Tinker Town!
Tornado V2 is the perfect Tinker-port! Following the tradition of user friendly well documented expansions, Tornado offers an optimal way to expand your digital horizon. Make sure to ask your vendor for Tornado native expansions for the Ultimate Tiny Desk experience!
