This NEW 6-layer Mini-ITX Advanced Graphics Architecture motherboard is the crown jewel of the anonymous Swedish hardware designer, known only as “MrA”.
After the introduction of ‘Alicia 1200’ AMIGA40 last year she has undergone some discrete but important upgrades. Most importantly Alicia is now a 6-layer, high quality (TG155/ENIG) PCB. And while no components have been removed or added, some have relocated and more space has been made available thanks to the extra internal layers.
This Limited Edition ‘Black Beauty’ board is not for sale. But the same high quality PCB will be available through our normal channels shortly (less than 4 weeks ;). The retail version will be the same lovely blue color as the previous revision (r1.6).
In addition to a more spacious (i.e. easier to build) design, the extra layers also provide better heat dissipation for the valuable custom chips. The improved signal quality results in even better RGB video quality and sound.
